THE PHOENIX MIRACLE

by Elizabeth Garcia-Gray and
Byron Laursen

This soulful book is about how to transcend heartbreaks, losses and disasters

and eventually soar to give compassion and light to others. The book proposal

is already done and it is presently in the process of submission for publication.

Excerpt :

~ First, you heal ~

STEP ONE: Open your heart and mind to your healing.

Find your light, wherever you sense it to be - inside or outside of yourself, or somewhere in between. The light could be everywhere or anywhere. Then hold on to that light with all your being, until you finally feel that you have become able to let it go. That moment is when you
know you can share your light with others.

But first, simply believe that you will heal and soar to be there for others. Believe that you are deeply and truly connected to those you love and to those who love you. If you find it difficult to believe that at first, you need not be too hard on yourself. Your hesitation to believe is nothing more than old fears surfacing, a normal defensive reaction. It may arise from old wounds that are merely scars now. The scars remain in your awareness, but they do not hurt anymore. You can believe again.

It is through your belief that you can open your mind to the miracle within you that will allow you to soar to your highest self. That belief will lead you and empower you to heal others as you heal yourself.

                                                          ~~ O ~~ O ~~ O ~~

To honor your own very real potential to be just as magnificent in your life, please spend time with these gentle reflective questions:

When have you ever closed your mind and heart about something?
What stops you now, or at vulnerable moments, from opening your heart and mind to believe in your healing?
Who do you feel closest to? Who in your life helps you stay connected with life?  (Write or think about as many people as you can).
What are the things that you enjoy doing? What makes life feel worthwhile?
If you were to open your mind and heart to your healing now, what do you think will happen?

~~ A Phoenix Miracle Pearl ~~
Here is a gentle thought to contemplate. As you nurture the possible meanings in your mind, may your time of reflection reveal a Phoenix Miracle Pearl.
“Tragedies and disasters are tillers of our souls. They help us evolve into more loving, more compassionate people.”

~~ Gentle Exercises of the Spirit ~~
Spend a few minutes with these gentle thoughts. You may either repeat them to yourself, or commit them to writing. Either way, they will gradually become rooted in your makeup, and help you become a Phoenix Miracle person:
“I will open my mind and heart to my healing.”
“I will open my mind and heart to all possibilities.”

With your eyes closed, visualize yourself as you gently focus on these thoughts. Inhale slowly and softly, then exhale gently and slowly. Do this three times with each of the thoughts.
Then, softly whisper each thought to yourself. Say them slowly, gently, three times.
Allow yourself to feel peace and serenity as you hear your own voice.

Next, move from gentle thoughts to gentle actions: With your eyes closed, open your arms very slowly, as wide as you can. Then bring your arms together as if hugging someone slowly. Then open your arms again, performing the action three times. As your arms move, open yourself to thoughts of what you might do in your mind and heart to serve someone else. Visualize yourself opening your mind and heart to something new. Then visualize yourself opening your heart and mind to a serene and peaceful self. Feel the deep comfort as you revisit these words: “I will open my heart and mind to my healing.”
